My mother needed quality care immediately, and I decided to replace the initial provider. At the recommendation of the hospice nurse caring for my mother, I contacted Karen at Excellus, who was able to provide replacement care with hospice-experienced aides the very next day. From that day until my mother’s death about three months later, the Excellus aides uniformly provided professional and loving care of my mother as she declined. I do not live in Massachusetts – though I visited my mother very often during her illness – and I completely trusted Excellus to keep me informed on a twice-daily basis regarding my mother’s condition. Excellus provided me peace of mind in a very difficult time, and I will be forever grateful to Karen and all of the aides who cared for my mother.

Dealing with aging parents is something no one really understands until they are there. Always a call or text away, she has never let me down, not even with last minute, unavoidable,changes. Karen’s attention to detail is only second to the wonderful help she sends. The staff at Excellus assisted me for 5 weeks this spring with 3 visits a week. They were wonderful! I had a major back operation and my movement was very restricted. They helped me shower, made sure I was taking my drugs properly, made my meals, did the laundry, picked up the house and so much more. Instructions from my doctor were for me to walk an hour a day. I felt so much safer and more confident walking with the staff rather than having to walk by myself. Their staff is capable, knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful and always great company.
